Bali, Indonesia 2023

I’ve often approached life on a whim or too spontaneous that I find it hard to keep up.

Bali came at a time of confusion for me. The classic ‘what’s next’ questions in a state of second guessing.

However I booked a flight and within 48 hours I arrived in Denpasar, Bali.

I travelled from North to South, West to East, even managing some time over in Nusa Lembongan studying Yoga.

My experience on this sacred, Hindu Island comes from the people and freedom to explore, for when you travel solo, you learn about yourself more deeply and the world more openly, accepting all experiences as shaping and refining.

From Dawn ‘till Dusk

From dawn until dusk this island has the firmest grip on my soul.

The lessons learned and people met. Too many in-betweens to capture, but all to appreciate.

The best feelings can’t be explained in words and although I try my best, I feel unworthy to even attempt.

My heart yearns for this place and I think it always will.

I hope you feel what I do.

You are Given One Sunset A Day

We are creatures of light.

On a billboard recently I read “You Are Given One Sunset a Day”.

I drove past and mentally accepted this as an obvious statement.

But it started growing. Shooting roots through my mind.

It changed from completely obvious to now one of the truths that I hold closest.

Upon hearing some sadness recently I can’t help but feel an incredible gratitude for this journey called life. All of it. The big moments, the small ones, the in-between ones, the quiet ones, the unnoticed ones.

Life truly is for living.

And so here is that truth: “You are given one sunset a day”.

A small window to witness, breathe and dance in the golden rays of a melting sun.

May we always dance like it’s our last.
